Emily Nicole Kam
Emily Kam is a sophomore at Columbia College, planning to major in American Studies or Political Science and minor in English. She is passionate about advocacy through writing and helping her community. As a staff member of the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, she writes for the Roundtable Digital Initiatives division.
Emily is also a volunteer at New York Small Claims Advisory Service (NYSCAS), assisting clients by providing information about the New York Small Claims courts. Outside of Columbia, she was a judicial intern for Judge Karen Lin in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Civil Term, and a former Vice Chair of the Student Outreach Committee at the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY). As a taekwondo athlete, Emily also serves as Vice President on the Columbia Taekwondo E-Board, where she organizes and manages competition logistics. She is ecstatic to serve as the inaugural summer fellow for the Asian American Initiative.
